The Warrick County Sheriff’s Office reported that the crash occurred at the intersection of Sharon Road and State Route 66. Sheriff Mike Wilder said evidence at the scene indicated the semitruck driver had a green light and attempted to brake before the collision, but was unable to stop in time.
Allison, a local middle school student, was remembered as a bright and kind girl whose life was tragically cut short. Sheriff Wilder emphasized the devastating impact of the accident not only on Allison’s family but also on first responders, witnesses, and the wider community. He urged the public to refrain from sharing accident photos on social media, out of respect for families who could be harmed by discovering such news in that way.
Authorities said no criminal charges are expected in connection with the crash. A GoFundMe page has since been created to help support the Lowery family, who are left heartbroken by Allison’s sudden passing. The Warrick County School Corporation will provide a crisis response team to assist grieving students and staff.
