SATSUMA, AL — The community of Satsuma is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Zoe Grace Landrum, a vibrant young soul whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and love to everyone around her. Zoe passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, kindness, and quiet strength that touched countless lives.
Zoe was more than a student, daughter, or athlete—she was a beacon of joy whose spirit shone brightly in every space she entered. A cherished member of Project Outreach, she gave her heart selflessly to others, volunteering her time with grace and always offering a smile that could lift the heaviest hearts. Her impact there, and in so many other places, is immeasurable.
To know Zoe was to witness someone wise beyond her years—quick-witted yet endlessly gentle. “She was clever enough to tear someone down but too kind-hearted to ever do it,” one close family friend shared. “She absorbed pain with grace, and in doing so, she taught us how to be better.”
Zoe’s presence lit up cheer gyms, classrooms, and every gathering with her peppy personality and signature prissy charm. Coaches from her Empire cheer family remember her not only for her athleticism but for her radiant spirit. “Coaching Zoe was a privilege. Her strength, kindness, and contagious smile made her unforgettable,” they wrote. “She will forever be part of our Empire family.”
Her parents, Keith and Shannon Landrum, are being held close in the hearts of many during this difficult time. “God knew what He was doing when He gave them Zoe,” a family friend shared. “She prepared them for more miracles—Sawyer and Brooks—who are now facing this unimaginable loss without their big sister.”
As Satsuma comes together to grieve, many are encouraged to share memories and photos of Zoe as a way of honoring her legacy. Her light continues to shine in the stories, laughter, and love she left behind.
To the Landrum family, and especially to Sawyer and Brooks—our hearts are with you. We grieve with you. And we remember Zoe with deep love, fierce pride, and everlasting gratitude.
Zoe Grace Landrum will never be forgotten. Her spirit lives on in the lives she touched, and in the lessons of love, courage, and joy she taught all of us.
