Victoria College is heartbroken to announce the passing of Francisca “Frankie” Zepeda, who died on Sunday following a courageous and inspiring battle with cancer.
Frankie served as the Executive Administrative Assistant for Instruction and Student Services, and her loss leaves a profound void in the college community she served with unwavering dedication, grace, and heart.
Frankie was more than a valued colleague—she was a beloved member of the Victoria College family. Her warm smile, genuine kindness, and calm presence made her a constant source of comfort and encouragement to students, faculty, and staff alike.
In her role, Frankie provided essential support to the Instruction and Student Services division, but it was her personal impact that truly defined her legacy. She had an incredible ability to make people feel seen, heard, and supported, regardless of their role or status.
Her colleagues often described her as the glue that held the team together—a dependable, compassionate presence who always made time to help others. Frankie approached her work with a sense of purpose and quiet strength.
Whether coordinating meetings, assisting students, or managing complex projects behind the scenes, she did so with professionalism, humility, and care. She took immense pride in ensuring that things ran smoothly so others could succeed.
In doing so, she earned the respect and admiration of everyone around her. Her contributions to the college were not only professional but deeply personal. Frankie took the time to get to know people, to ask about their families, to remember birthdays, and to offer words of encouragement when they were needed most.
Her strength during her illness was a testament to her resilience and spirit—she continued to support others and share her light even as she faced the most difficult of circumstances.
Outside of her role at Victoria College, Frankie was a devoted friend, daughter, sister, and mentor. She brought the same compassion and strength she showed at work into every facet of her life.
Those who knew her best speak of her love for her family, her deep faith, and her ability to find joy in even the smallest moments. Her sense of humor, warmth, and kindness made her a treasured presence in every room.
Frankie’s passing is not just a professional loss—it is a deeply personal one for the many lives she touched. The Victoria College community will remember her not only for her hard work and dedication but for her incredible heart.
Her legacy is one of empathy, strength, and quiet leadership, and she leaves behind an example that will continue to inspire all who knew her. As the college community mourns her loss, we also honor and celebrate her life.
Her impact will live on in the students she helped, the colleagues she supported, and the friendships she built along the way. Frankie Zepeda will be remembered always—with love, gratitude, and respect.
Details regarding memorial services will be shared as they become available. In the meantime, the college invites all who knew Frankie to hold her family in their thoughts and to remember the remarkable woman who gave so much to others.
Victoria College has truly lost one of its brightest lights. May she rest in peace.
