
Mohamadou Diallo Dies in Fatal Southeast Columbus Robbery Columbus, OH – Authorities are investigating the tragic death of 25-year-old Mohamadou Diallo, who was fatally shot during a suspected robbery in southeast Columbus. The incident occurred on the evening of Thursday, June 26, 2025, in the 3100 block of Refugee Road, leaving the community shaken and his loved ones devastated.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, officers responded to reports of gunfire just before 9:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Diallo suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel rushed to the scene and attempted lifesaving measures, but sadly, Diallo was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Diallo was targeted in what police believe was a robbery gone violently wrong. No arrests have been made as of yet, and detectives are urging anyone with information or surveillance footage from the area to come forward to assist in identifying the suspects.
Mohamadou Diallo, remembered by friends and family as a kind-hearted and hardworking young man, had aspirations of building a better future for himself and his family.
