With profound sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ashley R. Scarpinato, who departed this life on June 25, 2025, at just 28 years old. Ashley was a radiant presence in the lives of all who knew her — a beacon of warmth, compassion, and strength whose legacy will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
Ashley was born and raised in Palos Heights, where she became known for her magnetic personality, infectious smile, and genuine heart. She had a gift for making people feel truly seen — whether with a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, or simply by being a steady, supportive presence. To know her was to feel understood and cared for.
A Life Marked by Grace, Resilience, and Love
Ashley approached life with an unshakeable spirit and a heart full of kindness. Her inner strength shone brightest in times of difficulty — she met every challenge with grace and determination, always thinking of others before herself. Despite her own battles, she remained an unwavering source of encouragement and hope to her family and friends.
Her laughter lit up the room, and her presence brought peace. She was a daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and loyal friend who loved deeply and lived generously. Whether volunteering in her community, supporting a loved one in need, or advocating for causes close to her heart, Ashley gave of herself wholeheartedly.
A Community Mourns and Celebrates Her Life
Visitation for Ashley will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Kerry Funeral Home, where friends and loved ones will gather to remember and honor a life so beautifully lived. A funeral service will follow on Wednesday, July 2, offering a time to reflect, grieve, and celebrate the profound impact Ashley had in her short but meaningful life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ashley’s memory to the Lymphoma Research Foundation, an organization that held deep significance to her. By giving to this cause, we honor Ashley’s courage and continue her legacy of hope and healing.
Remembering Ashley
Ashley’s absence leaves an unimaginable void, but her spirit remains ever-present. It lives on in every person she comforted, every moment she brightened, and every life she touched. Though her time on earth was brief, her impact was profound and enduring.
As we mourn her loss, we also give thanks for the gift of her life. Ashley taught us to love more openly, give more freely, and live more fully. Her legacy is one of compassion, authenticity, and unwavering love.
Rest peacefully, dear Ashley.
