Dubbo, NSW – A young man has tragically died following a single-vehicle crash in the state’s west, authorities confirmed today.
At approximately 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, 29 June 2025, emergency services were called to a rural property on Narromine Road, roughly 14km east of Narromine, after reports that a vehicle had been discovered overturned on the property.
Responding officers from the Orana Mid-Western Police District found a utility vehicle (ute) on its roof. The driver—believed to be in his 20s—was found deceased at the scene. No other occupants were reported.
Early investigations suggest the crash may have occurred around 10:30 p.m. the previous evening (Saturday, 28 June), with the vehicle likely leaving the roadway and rolling onto the property sometime during the night.
A crime scene has been established, and police are continuing to investigate the exact circumstances leading up to the incident. At this stage, no foul play is suspected.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been formally released, pending notification of next of kin.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant dashcam footage is urged to contact Orana Mid-Western Police or Crime Stoppers.
