The technology and business communities are mourning the unexpected passing of Dana Berg, CEO of SADA, who died in 2025. Widely respected for his visionary leadership, operational excellence, and unwavering commitment to customer success, Dana leaves behind a legacy of innovation, service, and profound impact.
Dana Berg was appointed CEO of SADA in October 2024, following more than six years of transformative leadership as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure, Dana helped steer SADA through a period of tremendous growth, laying the groundwork for its expansion and solidifying its position as a premier global business and cloud services consultancy. His approach was centered on a singular mission: to identify and implement innovative solutions that create long-term, competitive advantages for customers.
With nearly 25 years of experience in the technology and professional services sectors, Dana brought a unique blend of technical acumen and business strategy to every role he held. He began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers/IBM, where he quickly distinguished himself working with some of the world’s largest organizations. It was during this time that he gained a deep appreciation for the importance of executing complex engagements with precision and proven methodologies.
Dana’s early career focused on Enterprise Content Management, particularly within the Life Sciences sector. At Amgen, a leading global biotech company, he led efforts to implement some of the world’s largest regulated digital solutions, enhancing information workflows for Clinical Operations, Manufacturing, and Medical Affairs. These efforts not only showcased his technical ability but also his capacity to understand and solve real-world problems at scale.
Before joining SADA, Dana held senior leadership positions at Hitachi Consulting, EMC, and Perficient. In each of these roles, he directed business and customer operations, managed diverse teams, and launched strategic initiatives that drove consistent results. Throughout his career, Dana was known for building and leading high-performance teams that delivered customer-centric services with unmatched consistency and quality.
As a thought leader in digital transformation, Dana worked closely with many of the top technology providers in the market. His strategic insight and operational management were instrumental in guiding some of the nation’s most respected delivery organizations. His ability to fuse technology with business outcomes made him an invaluable partner to clients and a mentor to colleagues across the industry.
When Dana stepped into the role of CEO at SADA—and later helped lead the company into its new chapter as part of Insight—he did so with vision and purpose. He believed deeply in the scale and capabilities of the organization and was committed to building lasting relationships with customers rooted in long-term value. “The value we see in our work together is measured not in months but in years,” he often said, underscoring his long-range approach to partnership and success.
Dana earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Southern California (USC), a foundation that supported his lifelong passion for technology and problem-solving.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dana is remembered by colleagues, friends, and loved ones for his humility, integrity, and generosity. He was a leader who inspired those around him to think bigger, work harder, and care more deeply. His sudden passing is a tremendous loss to the industry, to SADA, and to all who knew him.
SADA and the greater tech community will carry forward Dana’s legacy of excellence, innovation, and human-centered leadership. Funeral and memorial details will be shared by the family in the coming days.
