Atlanta, GA — A 37-year-old man, Adrian Oliver Carter, was booked into Fulton County Jail on Friday following a disturbing series of events that began with a reported home invasion and sexual assault in northwest Atlanta.
According to arrest affidavits, the incident occurred on the evening of July 6 when Carter allegedly approached a 68-year-old woman as she sat outside her home. Authorities say he forced her inside at gunpoint, where he then demanded she use cocaine and subsequently forced her to perform oral sex.
Investigators reported that during the assault, Carter also stole the victim’s house keys. Since the traumatic event, the woman has been living with her daughter, telling authorities she is too afraid to return home alone.
On Thursday, the victim’s daughter contacted 911 after seeing a man enter the home through the doorbell camera. Atlanta Police quickly responded and found Carter inside the residence. When questioned, Carter claimed he had keys and was cleaning the house for the homeowner—an assertion later proven false.
The victim positively identified Carter as the assailant from the July 6 attack. He was immediately taken into custody and now faces multiple charges related to the break-in and sexual assault.
This case remains under investigation by the Atlanta Police Department. Anyone with additional information is urged to contact law enforcement.
