Dr. Tom Albiero, a beloved dentist, dedicated volunteer, and community leader from West Bend, Wisconsin, has passed away. Known for his exceptional service in both dentistry and community outreach, Dr. Albiero leaves behind a legacy of compassion, professionalism, and deep-rooted commitment to helping others.
Dr. Albiero was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and Marquette University School of Dentistry. Following his dental studies, he completed a general practice residency in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
In 1983, Dr. Albiero moved to Germantown and founded Dental Professionals, where he served generations of patients with kindness, integrity, and clinical excellence for more than four decades.
Throughout his career, Dr. Albiero’s impact extended far beyond the walls of his dental practice. Since 2009, he was actively involved in providing care at free dental clinics, believing firmly that everyone deserved access to high-quality dental services regardless of their ability to pay.
His dedication to this cause culminated in his work with the Albrecht Free Clinic in West Bend, a nonprofit healthcare organization that provides essential medical and dental care to uninsured residents of Washington County.
Dr. Albiero played a key role in helping establish and sustain the clinic, and remained actively involved with it even after his retirement. In 2023, Dr. Albiero retired from full-time practice after over 40 years in the dental field.
A Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, he was widely respected by his peers for both his clinical expertise and his lifelong commitment to continuing education.
His patients and colleagues remember him not only as a skilled dentist, but as someone who genuinely cared for the well-being of every individual he met. A devoted family man, Dr. Albiero shared more than 30 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Mary.
Together, they raised five children, all of whom are now adults, and in recent years, they delighted in spending time with their 11 grandchildren. Retirement for Dr. Albiero meant enjoying the simple pleasures of life—time with family, community involvement, and the occasional round of golf.
Dr. Albiero’s contributions to the Germantown and West Bend communities were widely recognized. In 1996, he was honored as Germantown Citizen of the Year, a testament to his service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to those around him.
Over the years, he remained involved in numerous community organizations and service efforts, always eager to give back to the region he loved so deeply. His passing marks the loss of a man whose life was defined by service—to his patients, his community, and his family.
Those who knew him will remember his warm smile, his tireless energy, and his steadfast belief in doing the right thing. Dr. Albiero was a healer in every sense, bringing comfort and hope not just through dentistry, but through his everyday actions.
Dr. Tom Albiero’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched, the family he cherished, and the community he helped build. He is survived by his wife Mary, their five children, and eleven grandchildren. His presence will be deeply missed, but his influence will be felt for generations to come.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Albrecht Free Clinic in Dr. Albiero’s memory—a fitting tribute to a man whose life was devoted to caring for others.
