
RUSSELL COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) – An investigation is underway into a Russell County inmate who died a day after being taken into custody.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation says that just after 9 a.m. last Saturday, 43-year-old James Barrows was found unresponsive in his cell at the Russell County Jail. Life saving measures were attempted, and Barrows was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
