
DANVILLE, Va. — The Danville community is mourning the tragic loss of Ketasha Fuller, a 23-year-old woman who was fatally shot in the early hours of Sunday morning, July 27, 2025.
According to the Danville Police Department, officers responded to a noise complaint at approximately 3:36 a.m. in the 100 block of Cooper Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a gathering taking place, which they subsequently dispersed. As officers were leaving the scene, they heard a single gunshot and immediately returned.
Officers found Ketasha Fuller suffering from a gunshot wound. She was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Preliminary investigation and video evidence from the scene indicate that Fuller was involved in a verbal altercation with a man shortly before the shooting. The man is seen in the footage pulling out a handgun and firing the fatal shot.
