
Authorities have issued a Florida AMBER Alert for 17-year-old Caden Speight of Dunnellon, who went missing following a shooting Thursday afternoon in Marion County.
According to Marion County Sheriff’s deputies, Speight was driving a work truck on SW Highway 484 near the 12800 block when four unknown males, possibly Hispanic, opened fire. Speight sustained injuries in the attack and was later reported missing. Deputies believe he may be in the company of the suspects and could be traveling in a light-colored van.
Caden was last seen wearing an unknown-colored t-shirt and blue jeans. Officials urge the public not to approach him if located, and instead immediately contact law enforcement.
Deputies are actively seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen Caden or the suspected vehicle in the area around 4 p.m. on Thursday.
