MONROE COUNTY, Mo. — (Oct. 12, 2025) The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed Sunday evening that SWAT officers entered a residence around 4:50 p.m. and discovered the primary suspect deceased.
In a news release, authorities identified the suspect as 57-year-old Charles Armour of Paris, Missouri. Earlier in the day, Highway Patrol had been assisting the Ralls County Sheriff’s Office in locating a person of interest connected to an ongoing homicide investigation.
When officers entered the home, Armour reportedly opened fire, striking a Randolph County deputy. The deputy was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover.
Highway Patrol officials confirmed that both the Ralls County homicide and the officer-involved shooting remain under active investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the incidents to contact law enforcement at 573-526-6122.
