FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. — The Florence County community is heartbroken following the tragic loss of 49-year-old Felicia Williams Sims, who died in a crash along Interstate 95 in Sumter County on Sunday evening.
Felicia’s passing has left a deep void in the hearts of her loved ones, who remember her as a kind, loving, and compassionate woman whose smile could brighten any room. Known for her gentle spirit and unwavering love for her family, she touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
The accident occurred around 6 p.m. on October 12, when the vehicle she was a passenger in left the roadway and crashed along I-95 North between mile markers 141 and 146. Despite the quick response from emergency crews, Felicia was pronounced dead at the scene.
As family and friends struggle to come to terms with this devastating loss, the community has come together to offer support, comfort, and prayers. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, as authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
