It is with heavy hearts that the Waco community mourns the tragic passing of 23-year-old Israel Gutierrez, who lost his life in a rollover crash early Saturday morning near Texas State Technical College (TSTC) and L-3 Harris in Waco.
According to the Waco Police Department, officers were called to the intersection of Concord Road and Airline Drive at approximately 3:42 a.m. on October 18, 2025. Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered a vehicle on its side. Gutierrez, who was the driver and sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say the crash remains under investigation as officials work to determine what caused the vehicle to overturn. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Israel’s sudden passing has left his family, friends, and loved ones heartbroken. Those who knew him describe him as a bright and caring young man whose positive spirit and warm smile touched everyone around him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
