It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic passing of Jasmine Katherine Brown, 27, of Winona, Minnesota, who lost her life in a fatal crash on Interstate 90 on Wednesday night, October 22, 2025.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened around 7:55 p.m. on I-90 westbound in Pleasant Valley Township in Mower County. Jasmine was driving a Chevy Traverse westbound when her vehicle veered off the road into the median, striking the County Road One bridge pier head-on. The vehicle then rolled multiple times before coming to a rest in the middle of both westbound lanes.
Despite the swift response from emergency personnel, Jasmine was pronounced deceased at the scene. Assisting agencies included the Mower County and Olmsted County Sheriff’s Offices, Grand Meadow Fire and Rescue, and the Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service.
Jasmine was a bright, caring, and loving young woman who brought joy and laughter to everyone she met. Family and friends remember her as someone full of energy, compassion, and kindness — a person whose smile could light up any room. Her sudden passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew her.
As the community mourns this heartbreaking loss, loved ones are asked to keep Jasmine’s family in their thoughts and prayers. Though her time on earth was far too short, her love, warmth, and spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those she touched.
