It is with heavy hearts that the Phenix City community mourns the tragic passing of Ant Da Don, who lost his life in a fiery crash on Highway 80 East near Summerville Road on the night of Wednesday, October 22, 2025. The heartbreaking accident has left family, friends, and neighbors across Phenix City in deep sorrow as they remember a life gone far too soon.
Ant, as he was affectionately known, was more than just a familiar face — he was a voice, a talent, and a spirit who represented the best of Phenix City. Known for his energy, his creative drive, and his love for his community, Ant was the kind of person who made everyone around him feel seen and valued. According to the Russell County Coroner’s Office, the crash happened just after 9 p.m. on Highway 80. When emergency crews arrived, they found two vehicles on fire near Summerville and Stadium Drive. Despite all rescue efforts, Ant was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by local authorities.
The loss of Ant Da Don has been felt deeply throughout Phenix City and Russell County. Friends and fans have flooded social media with messages of love, remembrance, and heartbreak, describing him as a “real one,” a “Phenix City legend,” and “a soul who never stopped shining.”
