Family members have identified 34-year-old Brianna “Bri” Sanchez of Pomona as the woman killed in what investigators believe was a murder-suicide on Monday evening. Sanchez, born September 20, 1991, was found fatally shot inside an apartment at the Sienna Residences community on East 3rd Street.

According to early information shared by those close to the victim, Sanchez was allegedly shot by her long-time boyfriend following what they described as a misunderstanding inside the home. Authorities have not yet confirmed the exact circumstances or motive.
Police Respond to Deadly Shooting
Pomona police officers were called to the 700 block of East Third Street at approximately 6:38 p.m. on Monday after a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found an adult female—now identified by family as Sanchez—along with an adult male, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene. The male, whose identity has not yet been released by authorities, was transported to a local hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
Lt. Miller of the Pomona Police Department said the incident appeared to be domestic in nature, and investigators are not seeking additional suspects. While the victims’ names have not been officially released by the police department, the deaths are being investigated as a possible murder-suicide.
