Chaos erupted at North Park Mall on Friday night after gunfire broke out inside the food court, sending crowds of shoppers sprinting for the exits as law enforcement rushed to the scene.
Witnesses described a terrifying scene as shots rang out just after nightfall. Video from inside the mall showed people abandoning tables, ducking for cover, and then running in all directions as the sound of gunfire echoed through the food court.
“Everyone just started running,” one shopper said. “ People were screaming and pushing to get outside. It was absolute panic.”
