She is survived by her siblings—Matthew Bardin ’83 (Mo Ogrodnik), Joseph Bardin ’85, and Jacob Bardin (Donna)—as well as her nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her life: Benjamin Bardin ’08 (Rebecca Miller), Tamar Bardin ’11 (Jon Dutko), Rina Bardin ’14 (Noah Gorstein), Dove Bardin, and Zibia Bardin. Her loss is felt profoundly across generations of the Bardin family.

The funeral for Sarah Bardin will take place on Wednesday, December 3 in New Jersey, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and lay her to rest.

A Life of Creativity and Artistic Passion
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Sarah Bardin was a self-taught artist whose work touched many. She worked primarily in acrylics on canvas, with floral compositions serving as her signature subject. Her talent also extended to portraiture, and she completed many commissioned works over the years.
Her art has been recognized internationally, including publication in Présence Féminine Dans L’Art Haïtien (The Presence of Women in Haitian Art), an acknowledgment of her unique artistic voice.
Sarah resided in Washington, DC, where she continued her artistic practice and remained deeply connected to family and friends.
