Big Rapids, Michigan — June 24 2025 The community of Big Rapids is heartbroken following the tragic loss of Adam Sarantos, who passed away in a devastating crash on Interstate 96 near Grand Rapids. Adam was just beginning to build a promising future when his life was cut short, and now those who knew and loved him are left mourning the absence of a kind and genuine soul.
A graduate of Davenport University, Adam was known for his intelligence, ambition, and steady determination. He had a quiet confidence about him—never boastful, always humble—and he poured that same energy into everything he did. Most recently, he served as the Subway manager at J & H Family Stores, where he led his team with integrity, compassion, and a strong work ethic. Coworkers remember him as dependable, patient, and encouraging—someone who never hesitated to help, whether it meant staying late or lifting someone’s spirits during a tough day.
But Adam’s legacy extends far beyond his workplace. To his family and friends, he was a deeply caring, thoughtful, and loyal person, always present when it mattered most. He had a way of making people feel seen and heard—a rare gift in today’s world. His laughter was quiet but contagious, and his presence brought comfort and calm to those around him.
Adam’s tragic death has left a void that words cannot fill. The news has shaken not just his loved ones, but the entire Big Rapids and Grand Rapids communities. Yet in the midst of grief, there is also gratitude—for the memories shared, the kindness given, and the love he leaves behind.
As his family prepares to lay him to rest, the community is invited to remember Adam Sarantos not just for how he died, but for how he lived—with humility, warmth, and grace.
Rest in peace, Adam.
You are gone too soon, but your light will never fade.
