MILAN, Ill. — A tragic accident claimed the life of a Milan man Sunday afternoon after his truck veered off the road and crashed into a pond in the 2500 block of Big Island Road.
The Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim as 30-year-old Alex Naseef, a resident of the Big Island area. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene around 1:20 p.m. on June 29, following a call reporting that a vehicle had left the roadway and entered a pond on the north side of Big Island Road.
Responders arrived quickly and launched recovery efforts, but unfortunately, Naseef was found deceased at the scene. Authorities have not yet released details regarding the circumstances that led to the crash, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Alex Naseef’s death has deeply impacted the local community. Known by friends and neighbors as kind-hearted and hardworking, his sudden passing leaves a void that will not easily be filled.
