CHEROKEE COUNTY, Okla. — The community of Rose, Oklahoma, is grieving the tragic loss of Lissa Hamm, 29, who died Saturday in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 82 near North Shiloh Road.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Hamm lost control of her vehicle at a curve, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a fence and a tree. She was the only person in the vehicle and was not wearing a seatbelt. Emergency responders pronounced her deceased at the scene.
Friends, family, and neighbors remember Hamm as a vibrant and caring young woman whose sudden passing has left an indelible void in the community. Many shared condolences and expressed shock at the tragic circumstances.
“Lissa was full of life and kindness,” a neighbor said. “Her loss is felt deeply by everyone in Rose, and she will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.”
