LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. — Authorities are urgently asking for the public’s help in locating James Ray Sharp Sr., a 78-year-old man with dementia who has been missing since Saturday morning, January 10. According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, Sharp was last seen around 7:30 a.m. on Montrose N. Drive in Denham Springs. Deputies say he was wearing a blue jean shirt and blue jean pants at the time of his disappearance.
Investigators are especially concerned for Sharp’s safety due to his medical condition. Detectives confirmed that he does not have his cellular phone with him and may be in need of immediate medical assistance.
Sharp is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing approximately 106 pounds. Because of his dementia, authorities fear he may be disoriented and unable to find his way home or seek help on his own.
The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office urges anyone who may have seen Sharp or has information about his whereabouts to contact law enforcement immediately.
