The Sylvania community is grieving the tragic and untimely loss of Nevan A. Hall, 22, who died in a single-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon, January 9, in Jackson County, Alabama.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the crash occurred at approximately 2:25 p.m. on Alabama Highway 79 near Letson Point Drive, about three miles north of Hytop. Nevan was driving a 2015 Ford Super Duty truck when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A passenger in the vehicle, Christopher A. Hall, 28, of Valley Head, was injured in the crash and was transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. His condition has not been publicly released.
Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. At this time, no additional details have been made available.
