On Wednesday evening, a pedestrian died after being hit by a truck on Iuliu Maniu Boulevard in the Capital.
“On Wednesday, around 8:00 p.m., the Road Brigade was notified by 112 regarding a traffic accident that occurred on Iuliu Maniu Boulevard in Sector 6.
“From preliminary information, the driver of a tractor with a trailer traveling on Iuliu Maniu Boulevard from Lujerului Street towards the A1 hit a pedestrian in circumstances that will be established following the investigation,” the Capital’s Road Brigade reported.
The driver of the vehicle was tested with the equipment provided, and the results indicated were negative.
“The scene of the crime is being investigated to accurately determine the causes and circumstances in which the traffic accident occurred,” the Capital’s Road Brigade also reported.
Vehicle traffic is being coordinated by police officers until the investigations at the scene are completed.
