JACKSON, Miss — The FBI Jackson Field Office is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying unknown suspects involved in the mass shooting that occurred in Leland, Mississippi, on October 11.
The deadly incident left 16 people shot. According to the Washington County Coroner’s Office, four victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and two others later died from their injuries at a local hospital. Local law enforcement, with federal support from the FBI, is actively investigating the case.
Preliminary reports suggest the shooting stemmed from a disagreement among several individuals. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov.
The FBI Jackson Field Office is also requesting that members of the community share any personal photos or videos of the incident, as even small pieces of information could prove critical to the investigation. A dedicated digital media tips website has been established for this purpose, allowing tips, video, and photos to be submitted anonymously.
