REMAINS IDENTIFIED AS ROBBIE THOMSON – SMITHS FALLS, ON, It is with profound sadness that we share that the human remains located last week at a Smiths Falls residence have been officially identified as those of missing man Robbie Thomson. Our hearts are with Robbie’s family as they face this devastating news.
We thank every person who shared updates, sent in tips, and helped keep Robbie’s name visible over the past two years. This community made sure Robbie was never forgotten.
Robbie Thomson was reported missing in October 2023. Earlier this year, police determined he was the victim of a homicide. On October 29, 2025, three individuals — Christopher Fenton, Erin Mackie, and Joshua Belfiori — were arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with his death.
During the investigation, police executed a search warrant at a property on Kelly Jordan Road in Smiths Falls, co-owned by one of the accused, Christopher Fenton, and Robert Lambert, a senior who disappeared in 2018 after befriending Fenton. Despite long-standing rumours, police have confirmed there is no evidence Mr. Lambert ever crossed into the United States.
During the search of the property, human remains were discovered. Postmortem results have now confirmed these remains belong to Robbie. Police have not commented on whether other missing persons cases may be connected to this location, and the investigation remains ongoing.
