It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic passing of Demietre R. Brandon, 33, of Danville, Virginia, who lost his life in a car accident on Saturday morning, October 18, 2025, in Halifax County. According to the Virginia State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 7:15 a.m. on Philpott Road, about one mile east of Hackberry Road. Demietre was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Spark when his vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, went down an embankment, and struck a tree. He was ejected from the vehicle and tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Demietre will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, kind heart, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His loss leaves a deep void in the lives of those who knew and cherished him.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 12:00 PM at White Oak Grove Baptist Church (9012 Melon Rd, Sutherlin, VA 24594). A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at the same location, with burial to take place immediately after.
Demietre’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
