It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Kristi C. King, 50, of Hackleburg, Alabama, who tragically lost her life in a multi-vehicle crash on Thursday evening, October 9, 2025, along U.S. 43 near mile marker 287 in Marion County.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Kristi was driving her 2014 Jeep Wrangler when it collided head-on with a 2025 Kia Soul around 5:15 p.m. Before that impact, the Kia had been struck by a 2012 Jeep Wrangler, setting off a devastating chain of events. Sadly, Kristi—who was not wearing a seat belt—was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Kristi was a beloved member of the Hackleburg community, known for her warm heart, generous spirit, and love for family and friends. She had a way of making everyone around her feel valued and cared for. Her laughter could fill a room, and her kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
As her loved ones and community mourn this heartbreaking loss, Kristi will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and the light she brought to so many lives.
May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved her.
