
A man in his 20s has been found dead with gunshot wounds outside a home in Melbourne’s northeast, sparking a homicide investigation.

Emergency services were called to a residential property on Linden Avenue, Ivanhoe, around 6pm on Tuesday after the man was discovered lying in the driveway with critical injuries. Despite efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Victoria Police confirmed that Homicide Squad detectives are leading the investigation into the man’s death, which is being treated as suspicious. While the exact cause of death is yet to be formally determined, early reports indicate he suffered lethal gunshot wounds.
Forensic officers have established a crime scene and are combing the area for evidence as detectives piece together the circumstances leading to the fatal shooting.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the Linden Avenue area at the time of the incident to come forward.
