Authorities are investigating the tragic death of Martha Miller, 70, a Colorado resident who passed away Monday evening after being struck by a vehicle in Huntsville.
According to the Huntsville Police Department, the incident occurred around 6 p.m. near Mountain Gap Road and Hillwood Drive. Miller was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk when she was hit by a car traveling along the road. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but despite efforts to save her, Miller succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and sustained minor injuries. Police reported that the driver did not show any signs of impairment and agreed to toxicology testing as part of the ongoing investigation.
