A murder suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in southeast Shelby County has been arrested more than a year after the crime, authorities confirmed Tuesday.
According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, the Memphis Safe Task Force located the suspect in Nebraska, where he was taken into custody without incident. The arrest brings a major development to a case that has remained open since the deadly shooting last year.
Investigators have not yet released the suspect’s name or additional details surrounding the arrest, but officials say the apprehension was the result of coordinated efforts between multiple law enforcement agencies.
The suspect is expected to be extradited back to Tennessee to face charges. Further information will be released as the investigation continues.
