The Florida music community is mourning the loss of John “Brian” Magner, a gifted guitarist, cherished husband, and beloved friend, who passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2025, at the age of 57.

Magner, known widely as a member of the rock band Crashrocket, was found unresponsive at his home in Edgewater, Florida, by his lifelong friend Bruce Hardee, who had known him since high school. First responders were called immediately, but despite life-saving efforts, Magner was pronounced dead at the scene.
Born on October 6, 1967, in Daytona Beach, Magner grew up in Edgewater and attended New Smyrna Beach High School. His passion for music and remarkable guitar skills would go on to make him a cornerstone of Florida’s live music scene. Fundraiser
