Man supermans into windshield of car with his face following a chaotic crime spree in South Tulsa, Just after 2300hrs Tuesday Night December 9th, multiple calls to 9-1-1 came in about hearing gun shots in an apartment complex near 71st and Sheridan (5700 East 71st).
As Officers were responding to shots heard, the call upgraded to a Shooting, as someone sees a man via their ring camera that is suffering from gun shot wounds.
Tulsa Police Department along with Tulsa Fire Department, and Emsa Arrived shortly after the secondary calls to 9-1-1.
Police discovered a man that was suffering from multiple GSW’s to his chest, Firefighters and Emsa performed life-saving measures and he was transported to a nearby Trauma Center, where he remains in critical condition.
As Police were gathering information, they learned that a male had physically assaulted a woman and took her vehicle, fleeing Eastbound on 71st.
At the time, it was not known if the two sequences of crimes were related.
Just 10 mins after the shooting, and now carjacking, Police were called to the intersection near 71st and Memorial, where a car was left abandoned, and a further east of there, a man lay injured from being smoked by a Motorist. (8500 East 71st).
A large Police presence was along East 71st, as they were investigating two additional sequences, but at the time, not knowing that they were related.
Two different Divisions worked two different scenes, Officers with Mingo Valley and Riverside Division. This is the information that we know below-
A man was chilln with his cousin and friends, when for unknown reasons, grabbed a firearm that was not secure, shot his Kinfolk multiple times, then left the apartment where he came across a Uber Eats driver, he pistol whipped her, taking her vehicle.
A short time later, he crashes the car when he strikes a Center median due to his none driving skills, disabling the vehicle, he jumps out as the vehicle was still rolling Southbound but in the Northbound Lanes of Memorial from 71st.
After barreling out of the vehicle, he runs outta his shoes after ditching the G-Ride…
Moments later, he leaps from a sidewalk, right into a passing vehicle, basically doing a superman face plant to the vehicles windshield, that laid his ass out cold. Police responding to the area, locate the man, and he is taken into custody, Emsa arrives to treat him for facial wounds. In the ambo, he attemps to fight with Paramedics, but Officers shut that shit down, cuffing him to the gurney. He is then transported to a Tulsa Hospital and then released to Tulsa County Jail.
As Officers huddled, they discovered that the man that did the face plant onto the vehicle after crashing out, is the shooting suspect and car jacker (robbery). All in all, thankfully no other innocent civilians were hurt or murdered by the suspect’s rampage.
The suspect has been Identified as 22yr old Kyle Kindley, he has been booked for-
-A&B W/DEADLY WEAPON
-SHOOT W/INTENT TO KILL (SWIK)
-ROBBERY
Although shook up, the driver that hit Dammit Kyle with their vehicle, and the Uber Eats driver, would be okay, just obviously shaken up.
It is unknown what sparked this misadventure, but we assume drugs and alcohol were involved.
Great work by all of those involved and our thoughts and prayers for all of those involved too…
