
Authorities have identified one of the victims in last week’s fatal shooting near Chase Middle School.
The Spokane County Medical Examiner confirmed that 37-year-old Terrance Wallette died from multiple gunshot wounds on Wednesday, September 24. His death has been ruled a homicide.
The shooting occurred in the 300 block of East 34th Avenue near Chase Middle School. Officers with the Spokane Police Department (SPD) responded late Wednesday night and discovered two men deceased at the scene. A third man was found critically injured and remains hospitalized.
While investigators believe the men knew each other, police have not yet released details about their exact relationship. The identity of the second deceased victim has not been made public.
SPD emphasized that there is currently no evidence of additional danger to the community. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
