A man was found dead early Thursday morning after suffering multiple gunshot wounds in Chesterfield County.
According to the Chesterfield County Police Department, officers responded to the 12300 block of Moores Lake Road around 4:07 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, following reports of an assault with a deadly weapon.
When officers arrived, they discovered a man who had been shot several times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators have not yet released the victim’s identity, pending notification of next of kin.
Police said there is no ongoing threat to the public. The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
